The Town of Gaspé is located in the heart of the Gaspé Peninsula , and is representative of all its inherent characteristics. In addition to easy, low cost access to industrial infrastructure, it also offers an unbeatable quality of life.

Gaspé has two (2) industrial parks and an industrial zone, each for specific types of businesses. At Sandy Beach, the industrial zone is for heavy industry involving certain environmental restrictions. The zone has a deepwater, sheltered port open to the Gulf of St. Lawrence that is accessible all year long, as well as a railway linking the Town of Gaspé to the rest of North America .

At Rivière-au-Renard, the park has equipment making it possible to respond to the needs of industries relating to fishing, namely a salt water pumping station, a rare piece of equipment in Quebec . A new pumping station will be set up in the winter of 2005, including the following technical characteristics: three column pumps with 1500 usgpm capacity and a variable speed drive system making for better energy management and a power supply matching real industry needs.

The Town of Gaspé has an advantage that puts it ahead of the competition concerning those two parks: Bill 201. Passed by the Assemblée nationale du Québec (Quebec Legislature) on December 18, 2003, it allows the town to offer promoters wishing to come to the Rivière-au-Renard industrial park or the Sandy Beach industrial zone a range of exclusive Town of Gaspé financial benefits, such as water mains and sewers, professional expertise, tax credits, and more.

Lastly, the Augustines York industrial park, with 400 hectares of land close to the airport, is for mixed industry. This park offers serviced lots for as little as ten cents (10¢) a square meter, one of the lowest rates in Quebec

In addition to existing economic sectors, new, very promising openings are upcoming for the Town of Gaspé , particularly concerning windpower and natural gas development.

he Town of Gaspé offers all the support needed by future companies wishing to invest in Gaspé, and it is committed to being a primary partner in economic development.
